Meet the Team
Dani Overbaugh
Boulder, WY
After losing 75-pounds and kicking a pack a day smoking habit, Dani discovered her passion for riding bikes. While on a training ride in Florida she was hit by a car and broke her leg. She was told that her multi-sport days were likely over but Dani was determined to return to racing.
In 2013 she was part of the youngest two-person female team to complete RAAM, setting a new record. Dani was also the first woman the complete the Epic 5 Triathlon- 5 Ironmans in 5 Days one of each of the 5 islands in Hawaii. Dani and her husband Jason are the current Race Across the West mixed team record holders.
Vicki Anstey
London, UK
Vicki began life working in advertising and only came to fitness in her 30's. She now holds a World Record for her row across the Pacific Ocean as a three person female team. She has competed in multiple marathons and 200-400 km cycling events.
Vicki was one of the first females ever to reach the final stages of Channel 4's SAS: Who Dares Wins. Vicki is the UK Ambassador for Inspiring Girls and a highly sought after motivational speaker.
Vicki is looking forward to applying her experience of ultra-endurance events and extreme sleep deprivation to RAAM.
Katie Aguilar
Atlanta, GA
Katie found endurance sports in her 30's. She started with marathons and soon made the jump to triathlons.
Katie has completed 17 Ironman distance triathlons, including 4 trips to the coveted Ironman World Championships. She has completed many more half Ironman distance races including two 70.3 World Championships.
In 2019 Katie raced in the Mid Atlantic 12-hour ultra cycling race where she was third place overall and first place female. This event sparked her interest in ultra cycling as a way to combine her speed with her many years of endurance.
Caz Buckland
London UK
Caz often describes herself as a Jack of all trades, master of none-that was until she discovered the sport of endurance cycling.
Progressing from an Ironman triathlon to climbing mountains such as Denali, Aconcagua, and the Matterhorn, to multi-day ultra bike races.
This year Caz was in 2nd place at Race Across Rwanda, a solo 1000 km gravel race before a mechanical issue 90 km from the finish.
She was 2nd overall at the TransAtlantic Way 1700 km race in Ireland, and recently participated in the TransPyrennes bike race. Her eyes are firmly set on RAAM 2024!
